B 29 AQ 500MCG INJECTION contains Mecobalamin which belongs to the group of medicines called Vitamins. B 29 AQ 500MCG INJECTION is used to treat diabetic neuropathy (nerve damage caused by diabetes), peripheral neuropathy (peripheral nerve damage that affects hands, feet and arms) and megaloblastic anaemia (blood disorder) caused by vitamin B12 deficiency in affected individuals.

B 29 AQ 500MCG INJECTION is also used to treat sciatica pain (leg pain), back pain and general weakness in affected individuals.

B 29 AQ 500MCG INJECTION is not recommended for use in patients allergic to mecobalamin and/or other B12 containing medicines.

Before receiving B 29 AQ 500MCG INJECTION, inform your doctor if you have Leber's disease (inherited form of vision loss) and/or suffering from low potassium level (with associated signs such as muscle twitches/cramps, low blood pressure), optic nerve disease (swelling and nerve damage to the eyes), kidney and/or liver problems.

B 29 AQ 500MCG INJECTION is not recommended for use during pregnancy and in breastfeeding women. It should be used with caution in children & adolescents (aged 6 months to 18 years) and in elderly patients (aged above 65 years) after consulting the doctor.

The most common side effects of receiving B 29 AQ 500MCG INJECTION are headache, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, loss of appetite, skin rash and/or hot flushes. Consult your doctor if any of these side effects worsens.

It also promotes nucleic acid synthesis in the bone marrow which helps in the maturation and division of erythroblasts thus preventing poor production of red blood cells and thereby improving megaloblastic anaemia in affected individuals.
