However, it is important that you continue to receive the medicine, even if you begin to feel ill. Do not stop taking this medicine without first checking with your doctor. Inform your doctor if you develop symptoms like abdominal pain, loss of appetite, darkened urine or yellowing of the eyes or skin. These may be the signs liver damage. This medicine may reduce the number of blood cells in your blood thereby, increasing the susceptibility to infections. Regular blood tests are required to check your blood cells along with kidney, liver and heart function during treatment with this medicine. It is important to use effective contraception to avoid getting pregnant or fathering a child during treatment. The duration of the treatment with this medicine is decided by your doctor depending upon your disease.
