What ITGAL 100MG is used for?

  • ITGAL 100MG is used to treat the fungal infections of the toenails, fingernails and other parts of the body such as blastomycosis, histoplasmosis, aspergillosis, and onychomycosis

Talk to your doctor before taking this medicine, if you:

  • are allergic to Itraconazole or any of the other ingredients in ITGAL 100MG
  • have or have had heart failure, including congestive heart failure
  • have liver or kidney problems
  • have a weakened immune system (immunocompromised)
  • have lung problems including cystic fibrosis

  • Females who can become pregnant must use effective forms of birth control during treatment and for 2 months after stopping treatment with ITGAL 100MG

Tell your doctor if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines. 

  • terfenadine, astemizole or mizolastine, used to treat hay fever or allergy
  • atorvastatin, lovastatin or simvastatin, used to lower cholesterol
  • quinidine or dofetilide, used to treat irregular heart beat
  • bepridil and nisoldipine, used to treat angina (crushing chest pain) and high blood pressure
  • eletriptan, dihydroergotamine and ergotamine for migraine headaches
  • cisapride - for digestive problems
  • ergometrine (ergonovine) and methylergometrine (methylergonovine) - used after giving birth
  • levacetylmethadol - for treatment of drug abuse (opioid-dependency)
  • midazolam or triazolam - for anxiety or to help you sleep
  • pimozide and sertindole - for conditions affecting thoughts, feelings and behaviour
  • rifampicin, rifabutin or isoniazid, used to treat tuberculosis
  • phenytoin, carbamazepine or phenobarbital, used to treat epilepsy
  • medicines for indigestion, stomach ulcers or heartburn can affect the stomach producing acid
  • buspirone, alprazolam or brotizolam, used for anxiety or to help you sleep (tranquilizers)
  • medicines used in the treatment of cancer such as busulfan, docetaxel, trimetrexate, vinca alkaloids
  • warfarin, used as blood thinners (anticoagulants)
  • ritonavir, indinavir and saquinavir, used for HIV infection
  • clarithromycin or erythromycin, used to treat bacterial infections
  • medicines that act on the heart and blood vessels called digoxin and disopyramide, cilostazol or dihydropyridines and verapamil
  • methylprednisolone, fluticasone, budesonide medicines for inflammation, asthma or allergies
  • medicines that are usually given after an organ transplant called ciclosporin, tacrolimus or sirolimus
  • alfentanil and fentanyl for pain
  • halofantrine for malaria
  • reboxetine for depression
  • repaglinide for diabetes
  • midazolam to help you relax or sleep when given into a vein

  • Take this medicine with a full meal
  • Swallow the medicine whole

If you take too much ITGAL 100MG

  • If you take too much ITGAL 100MG, call your doctor or go to the nearest hospital right away

If you forget to take ITGAL 100MG

  • If you miss a dose, take the dose as soon as remember then carry on taking your medicine as usual
  • Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose

If you stop taking ITGAL 100MG

  • Do not stop taking this medicine before consulting your doctor

COMMON

  • heart problems such as shortness of breath, swelling of your feet, ankles or legs, sudden weight gain, increased tiredness, coughing up white or pink mucus (phlegm), fast heartbeat, waking up at night more than normal for you
  • liver problems such as tiredness, loss of appetite for several days or longer, nausea or vomiting, dark or tea-colored urine
  • nerve problems (neuropathy) such as tingling or numbness in your hands or feet
  • hearing problem
