Uses, Side Effects, of Dotra 40mg Injection 2ml

DOTRA 40MG contains Drotaverine which belongs to a group of medicines called antispasmodics

Therapeutic Uses:

• Stones or inflammation in the gallbladder or the biliary ways
• Stones or inflammation of the kidneys and the urinary tract, spasm of the bladder
• Uncomplicated labor in the phase of cervical dilation for decrease of the dilation duration and the whole labor duration
• Gastric and duodenal ulcer, gastritis (inflammation of the stomach), spasm of the upper and
• the lower stomach muscles, bowel inflammation
• Dysmenorrhea (painful periods) and relief of severe spastic pain during labour

Interactions:

• Levodopa (used to treat parkinson’s disease)

Side Effects:

• Nausea
• Constipation
• Headache, dizziness
• Insomnia
• Palpitation
• Low blood pressure
• Allergic reactions, especially in patients with increased susceptibility (hypersensitivity) to bisulphites
• Reddening, pain and edema around the site of injection
