E SYLATE INJECTION contains Ethamsylate, which belongs to the group of medicines called Antihemorrhagic drugs. It is used to prevent and treat bleeding from the blood vessels and to prevent bleeding before or after an operation.
Ethamsylate exerts hemostatic action by improving platelet adhesiveness and restoring capillary (blood vessels) resistance. It decreases bleeding time and increases platelet clumping which reduces capillary bleeding and improves capillary wall stability. Before the treatment, your doctor might want to do certain blood tests to understand your existing condition.
E SYLATE INJECTION is not recommended for use if you have porphyria (defect in the synthesis of haemoglobin) or bronchial asthma. Before receiving E SYLATE INJECTION inform your doctor if you have hypotension or unstable blood pressure. E SYLATE INJECTION should be used with caution in pregnant women. It is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women. Consult your doctor if you experience any unusual effects while receiving E SYLATE INJECTION.
