ECZMATE F CREAM is a combination of Fusidic acid and Mometasone which belongs to the group of medicines called Antibacterial agents and Corticosteroids, respectively. ECZMATE F CREAM is used to treat inflammatory dermatoses (lesions/eruptions of skin) with/without bacterial infection in affected individuals.

ECZMATE F CREAM is not recommended for use in patients allergic to Fusidic acid, Mometasone, and/or other topical/oral corticosteroids. Before applying ECZMATE F CREAM, inform your doctor if you have diabetes, glaucoma, infection at/near treatment site, active viral illnesses (such as chicken pox / measles), and/or suffer from liver failure.

Not recommended for use in pregnant and breastfeeding women. It is also not recommended for use in children (aged below 12 years). The medicine is advised to be used with caution in elderly patients (aged 65 years and above) after consulting the doctor.

The most common side effects of applying ECZMATE F CREAM are mild to moderate pruritus (itchy skin), burning/stinging sensation of skin, folliculitis (inflamed hair follicles), dry skin, mild skin atrophy, and/or telangiectasia (dilated small blood vessels on skin). Consult your doctor if any of the symptoms worsens.

ECZMATE F CREAM treats inflammatory dermatoses, where mometasone furoate prevents inflammation by blocking the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy, and fusidic acid prevents the growth of bacteria and causes its destruction by inhibiting the synthesis of essential proteins that are essential for the bacteria to grow thus treating inflammatory dermatoses in affected individuals.
