It treats symptoms of acid influx due to hyperacidity, stomach ulcer (Peptic ulcer complaint), and Zollinger Ellison pattern (overproduction of acid due to a pancreatic tumor). Besides this which is used short-term to treat symptoms of gastroesophageal influx complaint (GERD).
