Halocer 10mg Tablet is used to treat schizophrenia (a mental disorder in which a person develops unrealistic thoughts and behavior). It works by blocking the action of a chemical messenger in the brain that affects thoughts and mood.

Halocer 10mg Tablet can also be used to treat psychosis, mania, and severe behavioral disorders in adults and children. It can be taken with or without food, preferably at the same time each day. Take it at the same time every day as it helps keep the drug levels in your body constant. Take the medicine at the dose and for the duration recommended by your doctor, and if you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. Don't miss a dose and do the entire treatment even if you feel better. Do not suddenly stop taking this medicine without talking to your doctor as this may make your symptoms worse.

The most common side effects of this drug are restlessness, insomnia, extrapyramidal symptoms, muscle spasms, and headache. If any of these side effects bother you or worsen, tell your doctor. They may be able to suggest ways to reduce or prevent side effects.

Tell your doctor before taking it if you have thyroid or kidney problems, epilepsy, Parkinson's disease, glaucoma, or any heart condition. Do not take this medication if you are under the influence of alcohol or sleeping pills, cough medicines, and/or allergies. This drug can also cause weight gain. Follow a healthy, balanced diet, avoid high-calorie snacking, and get regular exercise.
