- Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
- Inject HUMALOG MIX25 KWIKPEN PEN(PREFILLED) fifteen minutes or less before a meal
- Check your blood sugar levels as told by your healthcare provider
- HUMALOG MIX25 KWIKPEN PEN(PREFILLED) is available in a vial, carefully shake or rotate the vial until completely mixed
- For prefilled pens, carefully follow the User Manual for instructions on mixing the pen. It should be cloudy or milky after mixing well
- HUMALOG MIX25 KWIKPEN PEN(PREFILLED) is injected under the skin (subcutaneously) of your stomach area, upper arm, upper leg or buttocks
- Change (rotate) your injection site with each dose
- Do not share your insulin or syringes with other people, even if the needle has been changed. You may give other people a serious infection or get a serious infection from them
- Never mix HUMALOG MIX25 KWIKPEN PEN(PREFILLED) in the same syringe with other insulin products
- Never use HUMALOG MIX25 KWIKPEN PEN(PREFILLED) in an insulin pump
- Always carry a quick source of sugar to treat low blood sugar, such as glucose tablet, hard candy or juice
If you use more HUMALOG MIX25 KWIKPEN PEN(PREFILLED)
- If you use too much insulin your blood sugar gets too low (hypoglycemia)
If you forget to take HUMALOG MIX25 KWIKPEN PEN(PREFILLED)
- If you forget to use your insulin your blood sugar may get too high (hyperglycemia). Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose
If you stop using HUMALOG MIX25 KWIKPEN PEN(PREFILLED)
- Do not stop using insulin without speaking to your doctor, if you stop it may leads to severe hyperglycemia and diabetic ketoacidosis
