Diethylamine Salicylate is an analgesic and anti-inflammatory medicine.

It is used for the treatment of muscles or joint pain, back ache , rheumatism and sprains.

Dosage & When it is to be taken (Indications)

• The recommended dose for diethylamine salicylate is 1% or 10% w/w cream to be applied locally 2-3 times/day as needed.

Side effects of Multigesic (10% w/w):

• Skin: Redness, irritation and burning sensation
• Others: Fever, allergic reaction

How to use Multigesic (10% w/w)?

• Diethylamine salicylate cream should be massaged over the affected area.

When Should Multigesic (10% w/w) not be taken? (Contraindications)

Diethylamine salicylate should not be used,

• Over broken skin
• In patients allergic to the drug, especially if the patient also suffers from asthma.
• In patients allergic to salicylates, including aspirin
• During pregnancy, breastfeeding and in children less than 6 years of age
• In children with seizures because it contains excipients that can provoke seizures
