INTRODUCTION

MYPHEN S 360 TABLET contains Mycophenolate sodium which belongs to the group of medicines called Immunosuppressants. It is used to prevent your body from rejecting a transplanted organ (kidney). It is also given with other medications such as corticosteroids and ciclosporin. During treatment with MYPHEN S 360 TABLET, your doctor might advise you to take regular blood tests to check your white blood cell count to assess the immunity function of the body.

MYPHEN S 360 TABLET is not recommended for use if you are allergic to mycophenolic acid, mycophenolate sodium, and mycophenolate mofetil. It should be used with caution in patients with serious digestive problems (such as stomach ulcer), who are scheduled for vaccination, intolerance to certain sugars (such as lactose, galactose, or glucose), liver problems (such as a history of hepatitis B or C), and severe kidney problems.

It is not recommended for use in pregnant and breastfeeding women. HYPHEN S 360 TABLET is also not recommended for use in children and adolescents (below 18 years of age). Consult your doctor for advice. It should be used with caution in elderly patients (aged 65 years and above). The most common side effects associated with the use of MYPHEN S 360 TABLET are bloating, constipation, indigestion, high blood pressure, anxiety, diarrhea, joint pain, and dizziness. Consult your doctor if any of the symptoms worsen.

HOW MYPHEN S 360 TABLET WORKS

MYPHEN S 360 TABLET belongs to immunosuppressants which reduce the action of the body's own defense system (the immune system) and prevent rejection of the transplanted organ.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Take MYPHEN S 360 TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending on your age, body weight, and disease condition.

HOW TO MANAGE SIDE EFFECTS

Headache:

Take rest and drink plenty of water. Avoid taking alcohol and skipping meals. Do not strain your eyes by watching the screen for a long time. Consult your doctor if the symptom does not improve.

Dizziness:

Lie down until the dizziness passes and get up slowly. Do not bend down suddenly. Get a lot of rest. Walk slowly and carefully. Take plenty of fluids. Avoid drinking coffee, alcohol, or smoking. Consult your doctor if the symptom does not improve.

Diarrhoea:

Drink a lot of fluids, such as water to keep yourself hydrated. Try to avoid taking any medicine on your own to treat diarrhea and consult your doctor if the symptom gets worse.

Constipation:

Try to eat more high-fiber foods such as fresh fruit, vegetables, and cereals, and drink plenty of water. Try doing exercise regularly (going for a daily walk or run). If this does not help, inform your doctor for receiving alternate treatment for constipation.

Nausea and Vomiting:

Try to take MYPHEN S 360 TABLET with or just after a meal or a snack. Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating oily, fried, or spicy foods. Do not lie down or sleep immediately after eating. Consult your doctor if the symptom gets worse.
