Oframax 1g is an antibiotic from the cephalosporin group used to treat bacterial infections in the body. It is effective for brain infections (e.g. meningitis), lungs (e.g., pneumonia), ears, urinary tract, skin & Soft Tissue, Bone & joints, blood, and heart.

Oframax 1g Injection can also be used to prevent infection during surgery. It is given by drip (intravenous infusion) or by injection directly into a vein or muscle under the supervision of a healthcare professional. Your doctor will work out the right dose for you. This medicine will be given to you regularly at regular intervals prescribed by your doctor. Don't miss a dose; do the entire treatment even if you feel better. Stopping treatment too early may cause the infection to come back or worsen.

The most common side effects of this drug are diarrhea, skin rash, and changes in liver function tests and blood cell counts.
