What POLIO SABIN is used for?
- It is used in infants, children and adults to prevent poliomyelitis (polio)
Warning & Precautions:
Talk to your Doctor, if your child:
- Is allergic or hypersensitive to any of the other ingredients of this medicine
- Has a severe infection with a high temperature
- Has lowered immunity
- Has inherited (or family history of) immune deficiency conditions
- Has abnormal blood conditions or blood protein (immunoglobulin) disorders
- Has cancer including blood cancer (leukaemia) and cancer of the bone marrow or lymph glands (lymphoma)
- Has human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection
- Has radiation therapy
- Has a viral infection
- Has received another vaccine within the last month
Interactions :
Tell your doctor if you are taking

- Neomycin or polymyxin
- Cyclosporin (used to prevent organ rejection)
- Corticosteroids (used to provide relief for inflamed areas of the body)
- Medicines used to treat cancer
Storage :
Store at room temperature between 25 to 30°C.
Caution :
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Keep away from direct sunlight.

Side Effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Serious
Swelling of limbs, face, eyes, inside of nose, mouth or throat
Shortness of breath, breathing or swallowing difficulties
Hives, itching (especially of the hands or feet), reddening of skin (especially around the ears) or severe skin reactions
Unusual tiredness or weakness that is sudden and severe
