POLYCROL XPRESS RELIEF contains Aluminium Hydroxide, Dimethicone and Magnesium Hydroxide which belongs to a group of medicines called antacids
What POLYCROL XPRESS RELIEF is used for?
- It is used to treat,
- Heartburn or when your stomach has too much acid (indigestion)
- Inflammation of the stomach (gastritis)
- Ulcer by lowering the amount of acid in your stomach or gut (intestine)
TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR
Talk to your Doctor before taking this medicine, if you:
- are allergic to POLYCROL XPRESS RELIEF or any other ingredients of this medicine
- are feeling very weak and have no energy (debilitated)
- have kidney problems
- have dementia
- have severe stomach pain
- have partially or fully blocked bowel
- are on low-phosphorous or magnesium restricted diet
PREGNANCY AND BREAST-FEEDING
If you are pregnant, might become pregnant, or think you may be pregnant. You should not take POLYCROL XPRESS RELIEF during the first three months of pregnancy
If you are breast-feeding or planning to breast-feed ask your doctor for advice before using this medicine
CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS
POLYCROL XPRESS RELIEF is not recommended for children less than 14 years of age
Tell your doctor if you are taking the following medicines:
- salicylates
- tetracycline, ciprofloxacin, rifampicin and ketoconazole, medicines used to treat infections
- chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine, medicines for malaria
- chlorpromazine – used for mental illness (psychosis)
- vitamins
- polystyrene sulphonate – used to treat high levels of potassium in the blood
- Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
- Take this medicine by mouth only
- It is important to shake the bottle for at least 10 seconds before use
- Swallow the undiluted solution
- Do not mix the solution with any other liquid

If you take more POLYCROL XPRESS RELIEF or if someone else has taken your medicine, talk to your doctor immediately
Q. If you forgot to take POLYCROL XPRESS RELIEF
If you have forgotten to take your POLYCROL XPRESS RELIEF take them as soon as possible on the same day. Do not take a double dose
Q. If you Stop taking POLYCROL XPRESS RELIEF
Do not stop taking POLYCROL XPRESS RELIEF without talking to your doctor first
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects although not everybody gets them.
SERIOUS
- red and lumpy skin rash
- swollen eyelids, face, lips, mouth or tongue
- itching and difficulty breathing or swallowing
COMMON
- stomach upset
- loss of appetite, unusual tiredness, muscle weakness
- dizziness
UNCOMMON
VERY RARE
hypermagnesemia, including observations after prolonged administration to patients with renal impairment
STORAGE
- Keep this medicine out of reach of children
- Store at room temperature (15-25°C)
- Do not use this medicine after the expiry date
