What RAZEL CV 20/75MG is used for?

  • It is used to prevent blood clots forming in hardened blood vessels (arteries), a process known as atherothrombosis, which can lead to atherothrombotic events (such as stroke, heart attack, or death)

Talk to your doctor before taking this medicine, if you:

  • are allergic to any of the ingredient of RAZEL CV 20/75MG
  • have liver disease
  • have severe kidney problem
  • have repeated or unexplained muscle aches or pains
  • have a medical condition that is currently causing bleeding such as a stomach ulcer or bleeding within the brain
  • have a muscle weakness that is constant
  • regularly drink large amounts of alcohol
  • your thyroid gland is not working properly
  • had serious injury recently
  • planned surgery (including dental) in the next seven days
  • have had a clot in an artery of your brain (ischemic stroke) which occurred within the last seven days

Tell your doctor if you are taking:

  • oral anticoagulants, medicines used to reduce blood clotting
  • medicine used to treat painful or inflammatory conditions of muscle or joints
  • heparin or any other injectable medicine used to reduce blood clotting
  • ticlopidine, other antiplatelet agent
  • selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (but not restricted to fluoxetine or fluvoxamine)
  • medicines usually used to treat depression
  • omeprazole or esomeprazole, medicines to treat upset stomach
  • fluconazole or voriconazole, medicines to treat fungal infection
  • efavirenz, a medicine to treat HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) infection
  • carbamazepine, medicine to treat some forms of epilepsy
  • moclobemide, medicine to treat depression repaglinide, medicine to treat diabetes
  • paclitaxel, medicine to treat cancer
  • ciclosporin (used for example, after organ transplants)
  • fibrates (such as gemfibrozil, fenofibrate) or any other medicine used to lower cholesterol (such as ezetimibe)
  • erythromycin (an antibiotic)
  • fusidic acid
  • oral contraceptive pill
  • anti-Viral medications such as ritonavir, lopinavir

  • Swallow whole with a drink of water

If you take more RAZEL CV 20/75MG

  • Contact your doctor or the nearest hospital emergency department because of the increased risk of bleeding

If you forget to take RAZEL CV 20/75MG

  • If you forget to take a dose of this medicine, but remember within 12 hours of your usual time, take your tablet straightaway and then take your next dose at the usual time
  • If you forget for more than 12 hours, simply take the next single dose at the usual time
  • Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose

If you stop taking RAZEL CV 20/75MG

  • Do not stop the treatment unless your doctor tells you so

  • fever, signs of infection or extreme tiredness
  • signs of liver problems such as yellowing of the skin and/or the eyes (jaundice)
  • bleeding which appears under the skin as red pinpoint dots
  • swelling in the mouth
  • skin disorders such as rashes and itching, blisters of the skin
  • difficulty in breathing, with or without swelling of the face, lips, tongue and/or throat
  • muscle damage in adults
  • a severe stomach pain (inflamed pancreas)
  • increase in liver enzymes in the blood
  • bleeding or bruising more easily than normal due to low level of blood platelets
