Description

Uses, Side Effects, Price of Seset M Syrup

Seset M Syrup is commonly prescribed for children to alleviate allergy symptoms such as runny nose, sneezing, itching, swelling, congestion, and watery eyes. It can also be used for asthma and skin allergies.

Administer this medicine to your child at a consistent time, either before or after meals, following the prescribed dose, timing, and administration method. For asthma, it is recommended to give Seset M Syrup in the evening or two hours prior to physical activity. For allergies, morning or evening administration is preferable, depending on when the symptoms arise. If your child has both conditions, evening administration is suggested. If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking the medicine, repeat the same dose, but skip it if it's almost time for the next dose.

Your child may experience improvement after a few regular doses, but it is important to complete the full prescribed course to ensure maximum benefit. Abruptly stopping the medicine can worsen your child's condition. Some minor and temporary side effects may occur, including vomiting, diarrhoea, nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, rash, and headache. Typically, these side effects diminish as your child's body adjusts to the medicine. However, if they persist or become bothersome, promptly consult your child's doctor.

Inform your child's doctor about any other medications your child is currently taking. Provide a complete medical history of your child, including prior instances of allergies, heart problems, blood disorders, vascular disorders, birth defects, airway obstruction, lung abnormalities, skin disorders, liver impairment, and kidney dysfunction. This information is crucial for adjusting the dosage and planning your child's overall treatment.

FAQs:

Q1. My child has a persistent cough along with allergic symptoms. Can I give cough and allergy medicine together? No. Do not mix cough and allergy medicines because they usually both contain similar ingredients. This may result in double dosing of the active ingredients, thereby causing serious side effects.

Q2. Can I decrease the dose of Seset M Syrup by myself if my child starts to feel better? No, adhere to the dose as prescribed by your child’s doctor. Do not increase or decrease the dose by yourself as it can impact your child’s health. While increasing the dose may cause unwanted effects like sedation and depression, decreasing the dose or stopping it suddenly can result in rebound reversal of all symptoms.
