It is used to,

• Relieve symptoms of painful breast engorgement after giving birth

• Treat fertility and period problems usually caused by not having the right amount of prolactin. This includes polycystic ovary syndrome (this medicine reduces prolactin levels)

• Treat non-cancerous tumors in the brain called prolactinomas (this medicine reduces prolactin levels)
_x000D_
• Treat diseases where too much growth hormone is made, which causes people to be very tall or to have large hands and feet. This is called acromegaly (this medicine reduces growth hormone levels)

• Treat Parkinson’s Disease (this medicine increases dopamine levels)
