UROTOR 40MG TABLET contains Torsemide which belongs to the group of medicines called Diuretics. It is indicated for the treatment of oedema associated with congestive heart failure, renal or hepatic disease and essential hypertension. Oedema is a build-up of fluid in the body which causes the affected tissue to become swollen. The swelling can occur in one particular part of the body or maybe more generally, depending on the cause.

Before the treatment, your doctor may want you to take several blood tests to understand your existing condition. ROTOR 40MG TABLET is not recommended for use if you have anuria (failure of the kidney to produce urine), or hepatic coma (loss of brain function due to liver damage).

Before taking UROTOR 40MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you have any liver, kidney, or heart failure. Avoid consumption of alcohol while taking this medicine. The safety and effectiveness of UROTOR 40MG TABLET in pregnant or breastfeeding women have not been established yet, therefore consult your doctor before taking it.

It is not recommended for use in children and adolescents below 18 years of age. ROTOR 40MG TABLET should be used with caution in elderly patients above 65 years of age. The most common side effects of taking UROTOR 40MG TABLET are muscle cramps, loss of appetite, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, and constipation. Consult your doctor if any of the side effects worsen.
