VOMETIL MD contains prochlorperazine which belongs to a group of medicines called phenothiazine tranquilizers. It works by blocking the effects of a chemical in the brain. It is used in vertigo, Meniere’s syndrome and other labyrinthine disorders, nausea and vomiting.

Always take this medicine as directed by a physician. Your doctor will decide the dose and duration of therapy depending upon your age, weight, and condition. Do not take VOMETIL MD if you have jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes), epilepsy, muscle weakness (myasthenia gravis), and increased pressure in the eye (glaucoma). Inform your doctor if you have liver, kidney, and heart problems. Pregnant or breastfeeding women consult their doctor before taking this medicine. Tell your doctor if you are taking or taking or might take any other medicines. The most common side effects include orthostatic hypotension (sudden lowering of blood pressure on standing) headache, nausea, constipation.
