VOMIGEN MD TABLET contains Ondansetron, which belongs to the group of medicines called Anti-emetics. It is used to treat and prevent nausea and vomiting induced by chemotherapy or radiotherapy. VOMIGEN MD TABLET is also used after surgeries (operations) to prevent nausea and vomiting.

Before taking VOMIGEN MD TABLET, inform your doctor if you have severe constipation, heart or liver problems, imbalance with the levels of salts in the blood, such as potassium, sodium, and magnesium or if you have been scheduled for any surgery.

VOMIGEN MD TABLET is not recommended for use during pregnancy. This medicine may pass through the breast milk hence it is not recommended during breastfeeding. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine.

USES OF VOMIGEN MD TABLET:

• Used to prevent nausea and vomiting in children caused by cancer chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and surgery.

HOW VOMIGEN MD TABLET WORKS:

VOMIGEN MD TABLET is a serotonin 5-HT3 receptor antagonist (specific chemical receptor) which works by blocking serotonin receptors in the CTZ chemoreceptor trigger zone (zone in the brain that is responsible for causing nausea and vomiting).

• Visual disturbances like blurred vision.
• Effects of heart rhythms resulting in feeling lightheaded or loss of consciousness.

• Swelling of eyelids, face, lips, mouth, or tongue.
