VOMIJOY MD 8 TABLET contains Ondansetron, which belongs to the group of medicines called Anti-emetics. It is used to treat and prevent nausea and vomiting induced by chemotherapy or radiotherapy. VOMIJOY MD 8 TABLET is also used after surgeries (operations) to prevent nausea and vomiting.

Before taking VOMIJOY MD 8 TABLET, inform your doctor if you have severe constipation, heart or liver problems, imbalance with the levels of salts in the blood, such as potassium, sodium, and magnesium, or if you have been scheduled for any surgery.

VOMIJOY MD 8 TABLET is not recommended for use during pregnancy. This medicine may pass through the breast milk hence it is not recommended during breastfeeding. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine.

The dose of VOMIJOY MD 8 TABLET will depend on the age, body weight, and disease condition of your child. Dosage adjustment is not required in elderly patients, hence consult your doctor before taking VOMIJOY MD 8 TABLET.

    VOMIJOY MD 8 TABLET is a serotonin 5-HT3 receptor antagonist (specific chemical receptor) which works by blocking serotonin receptors in the CTZ chemoreceptor trigger zone (zone in the brain that is responsible for causing nausea and vomiting).
