INTRODUCTION

ZYCEL 100MG contains Celecoxib which belongs to a class of medications called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It is indicated to treat osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. It is also indicated for juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, acute pain, primary dysmenorrhea, and familial adenomatous polyposis.

This medicine works by blocking the release of chemical messengers which are responsible for pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). ZYCEL 100MG has anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic properties. It works by decreasing the activity of the enzyme called cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) that inhibits the synthesis of prostaglandin which are responsible for pain and inflammation.

Always take this ZYCEL 100MG exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have liver, kidney, or heart problems, are a pregnant woman, and are a breastfeeding mother. Your doctor will give the right dose depending on your child’s age and body weight. The common side effects are stomach pain, dizziness, and diarrhea.
