D.A.V. Kasantak Cough Syrup contains Mulethi, Banafsha and Cinnamon. The presence of these herbs in the syrup may enhance its cough-relieving benefits. This is an Ayurvedic cough syrup that aids in the treatment of a cough and throat infection. Cough, according to the ancient Indian medical system of Ayurveda, is caused by an obstruction and/or vitiation of Apana Vayu, or air. The air, or vataj, becomes stuck in the chest, causing coughing fits. Mulethi has an expectorant effect. It thins and loosens the mucus in the respiratory tract.
