Fopymin tablet is a combination of Folic acid with Pyridoxine and Mecobalamin. Folic acid with Pyridoxine and Mecobalamin is used for managing hyperhomocysteinemia and supplementing the diet. Mecobalamin is an essential nutrient for neurons that protects the neurons from oxidative stress. Mecobalamin is notable for being one of the few examples in nature of an organometallic bond. Mecobalamin is used in treating diseases of mecobalamin deficiency (such as pernicious anemia), or diseases of effective mecobalamin deficiency, such as mecobalamin metabolic pathway. Mecobalamin is retained in the body better than cyanocobalamin. The trio of Mecobalamin, Pyridoxine and Folic acid helps in bringing down the level of homocysteine in blood, the major factor for atherosclerosis.
