Some common side effects of this medicine include confusion, memory dimpairment, slow heart rate, tiredness, and nightmare. It may also cause dizziness and sleepiness. So, do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. The drug has the ability to hide the symptoms of diabetes, hence monitor your blood sugar regularly while taking this medicine. Let your doctor know if you experience increased swelling around your legs or ankles, sudden weight gain or sudden shortness of breath while on the treatment.
