It helps in relaxing the muscles of the air passages, thus widening it and making it easier to breathe. It is taken by mouth with food. But, its advisable to take it at the same time each day. In case you have missed a dose, take it as soon as you remember it. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. It is important that this medication is not stopped suddenly without talking to doctor. Before taking this medicine inform doctor if you are suffering from any kidney, liver or heart disease. Your doctor may regularly monitor your blood potassium levels. Inform your doctor if you notice muscle twitching or weakness, or an irregular heartbeat. It may cause nausea and headache as its side effects.
