Description

Lanum plus tablets are indicated for treatment of hyperphosphatemia. It contains calcium acetate 435 mg and magnesium carbonate 235 mg. In patients with chronic renal insufficiency or patients who are on dialysis there is impaired excretion of phosphate, which results in excess phosphate in the body (hyperphosphatemia). Calcium acetate acts as a phosphate binder aiding in elimination of phosphate from the body. Common side effects include hypercalcemia and soft-tissue calcification. Use under medical supervision.
