Essential fatty acids also may help proper drainage of intraocular fluid from the eye, decreasing the risk of high eye pressure and glaucoma. Omega-3 group comprises of Fatty Acids known as alpha linoleic acid (ALA) and its derivatives eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). They are termed as essential because they can not be synthesized in the body and need to be supplemented in diet. Softeye Plus 500 is a combination of Omega-3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA) that is used as an adjunct to diet or other therapies for treatment of dry eye symptoms.
